Theron Mallard has worked as an Aids Advocate and Practitioner for over 15 years. He has managed and consulted for organizations, civic leaders, and community organizers to help make policy changes for people living with HIV/AIDS. Mr. Mallard strategized and implemented fundraising events ranging from small donor cultivation affairs to production of the annual gala, generating $500K in revenues for FY18. A relationship-builder by nature, Mr. Mallard has cultivated and managed connections with existing as well as prospective individual donors, plus secured increases in annual individual giving at 35% and corporate sponsorship at over 40% in his previous role. At the core, Theron Mallard is results driven to ensure every client maximize their health and wellness journey. He ensures that he is prepared to meet the policy makers and be a voice to the voiceless. He worked as a clinical practitioner at EPI - Trinitas Hospital, in which he handled discharge plans for patients while patients were in the hospital. Mr. Mallard passion is to do all that he can do to help eradicate the disease.

Sonya Mallard is the Executive Director of BAS and has worked in the area of HIV/AIDS for over twenty years. Mrs. Mallard has expertise in HIV program planning, prevention education, HIV Tester, Educator, behavioral interventions, strategic planing, advocacy, grant writing, and Motivational Speaker. Mrs. Mallard provides HIV/AIDS prevention education and other related services to African American women, men, and adolescent populations. Her interest areas are HIV/AIDS prevention, health program designs and implementation for diverse populations. Mrs. Mallard holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from University of South Carolina, and is also a graduate of the Executive Leadership Institute for Leadership. Mrs. Mallard also is a 501 certified Tester for HIV/AIDS. She brings to her work a dedication to marginalized communities in the fight to eradicate HIV/AIDS.
